Welcome

Welcome to the home of SonicWatch, where security is reimagined with the help of sound and innovative cutting edge machine learning technology. This software is in its very early stages of planning and development and our tiny team of passionate creatives welcome you to join on our incredible journey. We hope you’ll take a look around and be a part of the excitement in any way you are able, be it assisting with programming, helping with marketing strategy, or spreading awareness of our work.<

Tell me more about the software

SonicWatch is security software for computers and mobile devices. Using artificial intelligence models, the software is trained to listen for given sounds, just as your Siri or Alexa device might listen for their wake word. If the trigger sound is heard, the software will use any available onboard or peripheral microphone to record for a set amount of time and save the recorded date to your device.

By training it to recognize specified sounds users can keep better tabs on their safety and that of loved ones. For example, parents with a child they allow to be home alone might have the system set up to detect a door knock, and look back at the recordings to know who their child opened the door too, let in, left with etc. The limited recording length allows for less invasion of privacy and conservation of file storage space, as does the fact that the device only records when certain triggers are detected. Since the software uses audio only it allows for the detection of more activity over a larger space than a camera might, due to the microphone’s ability to pick up sound from great distances.
